Broken Hinge on DS Lite question?

I was just wondering because my ds had a crack where the hinge was and I didn't mess with it so it wouldn't get bigger, but just wondering am I able to use a hot glue gun to glue it back if so what would be the outcome? Also tell if I do use it will it break or glue the crack together please help me!

How do I convince my parents tha video games dont rot the mind?

My parents are over protective I guess. They tell me that video games make you stupid and they make you bad and talk back to your parents and blah blah blah. I play video games like modern warfare 2, black ops, and grand theft auto 4. Never have I wanted to join the military, shoot a gun, or even steal a car for no reason. They blame everything on video games. They always take it away for a dumb reason. I need help hanging a prehung interior door?

the rough opening is well ROUGH the sides do not match up, in order to get the door to be perfectly set the left side (hinge side right hand swing door) is good but the right doesn't line up..ie the top sticks out about 3/4 in at the top and 1/8 in at the bottom. How should i hang this and what will be the best way to cover up this poor frame job. reframing is not an option for me it is only this one door and it has all new drywall and everything i want to be able to hide this mistake somehow. I realize this will not be perfect please be very detailed. i know some trimming will cover but realize how much this is off so please be very specific on materials and process to fix this up thanks so much

Is my laptop keyboard broken?

I was going inside my laptop, an Inspiron 1525, to disconnect the monitor from it as the hinges were busted and the monitor was trashed basically. I took off the keyboard to pull out some monitor cords and then I accidentally yanked the keyboard to hard and the cord got pulled out. Me and my dad tried putting it back in the connector and then we turned the laptop on with an external monitor, which worked fine, but the keyboard didn't work. What DS should I buy?

My DS lite's still works okay but the hinge is broken and it won't stay open/closed properly. I want to buy either a DS lite or a DSi. I'll still have my old one and I have an SP so the whole GBA slot thing won't be an issue. I don't think an upgrade would be necessary but I REALLY like the color of the Blue DSi. So I guess my issue is that I don't know if I should buy the slightly more expensive DSi with the cooler color or the slightly less cooler colored but cheaper DS Lite. Thank you!

How to gracefully decline alcohol/other substances?

I turn 21 this year and already people are making comments that I can buy alcohol soon. I have no intention of ever doing so. My entire family, consisting of 4 aunts, 4 uncles, and lots of cousins, the only non-alcoholics are me and my parents, and they're both former alcoholics. Road Bike or MT Bike for College?

I went to the University of Colorado at Boulder, and rode a CHEAP mountain bike. Bike theft is a big deal at colleges. Spend at least 20% of the cost of the bike on a "U" type lock, and run it through both frame and front wheel. Back wheels are hard to steal, and not worth effort on inexpensive bikes. Get a locking seatpost too. Somebody stole that off my bike and it was NOT a fun ride home.

Replacing power button assembly on nv series gateway?

So ive been trying to figure out the problem with my girlfriends gateway, battery light comes on (blue) ive tried different batteries and held down the power button trying to turn it on with no battery in it also. Im lead to believe that the power button assembly, the actual wire that runs to the motherboard to be more precise, is the problem. Problem is its in the hinge which is attached to the monitor, ive searched far and wide trying to find out what the exact means of replacing this is......any ideas?

Why does my external monitor not work?

On my laptop, an Inspiron 1525, I took off the monitor and disconnected it from my laptop. Then I hooked up an external monitor. The reason I disconnected my monitor from my laptop was that the hinges were broken and it wasn't even connected to the laptop except by wires. Now when I start the computer up I can see the screen that says I can press F12 etc to go to set up or BIOS etc. Then I see the loading bar when windows is loading up. After that the monitor doesn't show anything even though I can hear the sound of windows starting up. Do I need to have the original monitor hooked up, or do I have to setup something, or will it just not work? I know that the monitor has worked on my laptop before when the monitor was hooked up. Please help ASAP as I am leaving on a long trip in 2 days. Thanks in advance.

What MMORPG should I get?

I quit WoW due to cataclysm ruining the great world I loved, so now I'm looking for a new MMORPG bandwagon to ride. I've narrowed it down to 2 of em: Rift, Guild Wars. These fit my style of play from what I've seen/heard. I've dabbled a bit in Guild Wars which is why I like, plus that one pay forever ain't too bad either. But my problem with Guild Wars is that I enjoy raiding and being rewarded for it but apparently you don't have to raid to get good gear. But, I heard PvP was kickass, and it looked it from gameplay vids I've seen, which was crazy as hell. From what I hear on Rift, it sounds pretty legit, haven't read up alot on its PvP. BUT I didwatched some gameplay though and seemed like WoW which will make me pretty good at it seeing as how I was sexy at PvP in WoW. Raiding seemed very familiar as well, which also attracts me. So which one? Also if you have any suggestions to other MMORPGs and reasons for it, I would be glad to hear it. Thanks.

I am an extreme xbox addict so I have all the games that are out on both pc and xbox so I'm kind of looking for an exclusive title because chances are I'll already have it if its dual platforms. Why has some sort of natural sunlight therapy not been incorporated more in hospitals?

There are so many benefits to natural sunlight exposure (obviously in smaller doses these days). Patients that have to be hospitalized for long period of times tend to suffer from depression, which in turn, affects your entire brain/body chemistry, which then can slower or even reverse the ability of our bodies to heal. I understand that this type of therapy could not be used on EVERYONE, but still, the benefits for patients to experience some sort of natural sunlight could do wonders! The increased seratonin released can increase mood, decrease cortisol levels which decrease will decrease stress levels from the "fight or flight" response and let the body start to repair itself. Hospitals don't even need hi-tech equipment for this! They could just build a top story greenhouse type "sun room" where patients could be taken to for a short period of time each day or a few times a week, depending on their individual treatment, and relax for some well needed exposure to NATURAL light! I know hospitals have dabbled in artificial light therapy but I have a feeling that there is a lot more than just the artificial light needed to "jump-start" and get the chemical juices flowing. The visual stimuli and association of REAL sunlight on a sunny day lays the groundwork for your brain to tell your body to get ready for some "action". Just look at how much moods can change over the winter when sunlight exposure is limited and how a sunny day tends to give people that extra boost to go outside and enjoy the day.

Simple Access/SQL project?

I'm trying to build an Access form that will change data in 3 separate tables in SQL. I have the ODBC link created and I can see all of the fields. The issue I'm running into is I can't get the key ID to update in the two sub tables from one field in the form. I created the primary key ID and made the other two tables have a foreign key relationship to it in SSMS. What am I missing? I'm sure it's very simple but I've been searching for hours. My last PFT score was 285. I will have two waivers for theft under $50; both charges were when I was 16-17 years old, and I am now 25. I want to be a Marine Corps Officer and I think that I would do a damn fine job. What's a safe guage size for my cartilage piercings?

So I want to get these ball hinge hoops for my 2 cartilage piercings next to eachother. I got them pierced with a regular piercig gun at Piercing Pagoda. I am continuing my education in hopes of attaining a ADN. (Associates Degree in Nursing) What is the likelihood/unlikelihood of landing a job? The conviction is over 6 years old. It was for theft under $500. I have not hired an attorney yet to have it expunged, because im not sure what good it will do.They say some people(schools, hospitals) will still be able to see the record. Is there any way my laptop can be repaired?

So about two years ago, someone got angry at me and took my laptop and threw it at a linoleum floor. The only thing that really came from it though was scratches. Then, gradually, my laptop's hinges started acting weird. It would resist being opened and would make cracking noises every time I tried, but then one day one of the hinges just broke, and then after awhile the other one broke and now my laptop needs to be held up by something in order for the screen to stay up. The whole border thing that surrounds the screen is coming off, and you can see what is behind it. Also, my laptop can't stay by itself without a fan for about 10 minutes, because then it'll over heat and turn off. So, my question is, is there any way I can get the screen to my laptop fixed, and is there a way to take care of the overheating thing? Learning Programing again?

Hi I recently asked a question about programming. If my ideas are right programing is telling objects what to do with a code language. If I'm right on a hunch it would be easy to learn other language after learning one but that's a guess. If this guess is true then what would be a good first learn language. If not where would I find a list of languages and what each does so I can pick the one I would like to use. OH this also all hinges on the hunch that the easiest way to learn about programing is to learn a language witch I'll have to do eventually any ways.

Why don't I have visual hallucinations?

I've dabbled in psychedelics over the past few years (20 now and no longer use) and I no longer, no matter the amount ingested, have visual hallucinations - be it hero doses or rec doses. Why is this /b/? And to begin with, the visual hallucinations I had, would only be slight distortions i.e. breathing, wavy, etc. Any thoughts? Combinations of 400mics of acid, which my friends were also tripping heavily off of, with 3.5 grams of cubensis, left me tripping mentally, but no visual distortions whatsoever. 7 grams of Azurescens - nothing but increased mental activity. Is this a common result?

My dad scares me a lot mentally?

He does, whether it's when he seems to get angry for no reason, and talks about beating/killing people, rants about his financial problems, and tells me he's leaving. Or sometimes makes me afraid of my own neighbourhood. According to him someone or more likely a group of people ripped our back gate off the hinges and threw it into the yard. Nothing like scaring me in the safety of my own home. I can't say it's surprising, there is this little gang of delinquents that runs around they live right across the street, always ten or so of them. I did Suzuki starting at age 23, but with a teacher, and I already read music. So basically we were just using the music, not the technique. As for getting a good note out, it might just be the violin - much of the stuff on eBay is crap and unlikely to do much for you besides frustrate you. You could have rented a much better violin for less than you paid for that - still could, so consider that. Low stinger shot: golf?

I am wondering how to hit the low stinger that Tiger Woods has made so famous. I have tried using a 3 wood and 4 iron for this shot. For the three wood i place ball in middle of my stance and the four iron just slightly back of middle. When i swing through i keep my hands way ahead of the clubface to deloft the club, around my front thigh at contact is what I am trying for. I cut off my backswing where my wrists start to hinge and I do the same in the follow through of the swing. I never get the ball flight that I expect though on this shot. To be honest, instead of hitting a low stinger my ball comes off the clubface barely just below normal height and then balloons up into the air higher than normal! I dont understand what I am doing wrong. Am I attacking downward into the ball too hard. I play a draw on this shot to try and shallow out my swing plane because playing a fade on it seems to multiply the problem. I do attack down on the ball hard on normal swings. I am most certainly not a sweeper iron player. Do you guys think that this is the issue, or are there other swing flaws that could cause this low stinger to balloon up into the air so badly? Any tips on how to hit this shot consistantly would be greatly appreciated. I would love to take this shot off of the driving range and onto the course!!!

Door scrapes on floor now. Suggestions?

We have an old door that over time and due to humidity, now scrapes on our wood floors. Over the weekend, I tried to shim the bottom hinge to raise it - now the door doesn't shut properly. I took out the shim and the door shuts fine, but scrapes. I tried to use longer screws on the top hinge, but due to the door being so old, the holes are pretty much stripped and the new longer screws don't grab onto anything. Any suggestions? We love the old door and really don't want to replace it.

My brother is 20, but since he graduated high school, he has been completely and totally disrespectful towards my parents, especially my mom. 1973 Ford Blower Motor Resistor - Expert Difficult Question?

Varies a lot. For my cousin, the supervised visitation was done by the grandmother, the father's mother. So, the mom brought the child to the grandmother's home and she was required to always be present when the child was in contact with the father. As time went on, she just had to be present in the home. In this particular case, the grandmother always had regular contact with the child so there weren't any concerns by the mother over proper care.

Laptop hinge cracked - what can I do?

Elderly friend says I am all he has to look forward to, his only reason for living,too much pressure! Help?

I have known him for 7 years. We have lunch once a week and that day when I visit, I bring him some prepared dinners to put in his freezer, do a few household tasks that drain his energy & help him run a few errands if needed. I really do or did enjoy his company, but he is becoming increasingly clingy. He says without me he would have no reason to go on. He calls me every night. He sliced off a very large piece of steak and stuffed it in his mouth. A few months ago he did this and it caused an esophageal spasm (looks like choking or a heart attack, but not life threatening) which involved paramedics & disruption of the other diners. The doctor strictly forbade him from eating steak again, but there he was at Sizzler, smirking & saying he was a grown man. I told him the piece was far too big & he said "yes mommy" in a sarcastic tone. Well guess what? Spasm, scene, ambulance ride, overnight in the hospital to remove the food. When I picked him up the next morning he said "you really do care about me don't you? This has made our bond stronger hasn't it"? I felt sickened & enraged at that statement and told him "No, you knowingly risking your health does not make me feel closer to you, that would be sick & twisted". It's as if he did it on purpose for extra attention. Now, I feel nauseous just thinking about being around him, I cringe when the phone rings and I feel trapped. I do not want to hurt him. If I stop coming around, he'll probably opt to shrivel up and die, which would be his choice, but I would still feel guilty for breaking his lonely little old man heart. I want him to be happy, I do care, but he is not emotionally healthy for me. Can anyone suggest a middle ground? A win-win? Thanks

If you want to clarify your major a bit more on your resume and/or in your cover letters, you can always list a few relevant classes you've taken. Also, be sure to get some kind of practical experience, whether that's a job, an internship, a leadership position in a student activity, or volunteering. I have started reading a book called, "Demons In Disguise" As Christians we believe that demons can pretend to be dead people. People who go to Mediums are really making contact with demons. However, it seems that people who go to Mediums or witness a ghost of a "dead person" say that most ghosts are harmless. Wand making and what wood/crystal to use?

Well first before you get a wand, your really going to want to get to level 5 magician. I would suggest using a magic coloring book and repetitively using that to level up quickly. Then you can take on some low level missions using your fireball attack against some goblins and you should be able to obtain a level 3 cave crystal so you can start casting more destructive spells. Also I would go to a mages guild and upgrade your illusion magic because that will help against the level 9 Knight you will encounter later on

I'm not positive or anything, but you might want to check you settings in the control panel, it could just be turned off. Or if you're using Skype or something like that then it may be in the options/settings on there as well. Mine was set to an external microphone, and i had to change it to internal.
